We do not require you to create an account to use ProofCam. The app primarily functions locally on your device.

Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data (GPS): To provide the core functionality of overlaying GPS coordinates, addresses, and map positions on your photos, ProofCam requires access to your device's precise location. This data is processed locally on your device to generate the photo overlay.
• Camera & Photos: The app requires access to your camera to capture images and your photo gallery to save the processed images.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous diagnostic data to improve app stability and performance (e.g., crash reports).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide the Service's functionality:

• To Process Photos: Your GPS coordinates are used to fetch address details (Reverse Geocoding) and are stamped directly onto the images you capture.
• To Display Maps: Location data is used to display your current position on the map view.
• To Manage Gallery: To organize and display your captured photos within the app's gallery feature.

Important: Coordinates and photos are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal photos or precise location history to our servers.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. However, the app relies on third-party services for certain functionalities:

• Maps & Geocoding: The app uses standard mapping services (like Google Maps or Apple Maps) via the react-native-maps library and native device geocoders. When you request an address for a location, your coordinates are sent to these ecosystem providers to retrieve the address text.

4. Your Rights and Choices

• Location Permissions: You can enable or disable location services for ProofCam at any time through your device settings. However, disabling location will prevent the GPS overlay features from working.
• Camera & Storage Permissions: You can manage camera and storage access in your device settings.

5. Data Security

Since ProofCam stores your photos and data locally on your device, the security of your data depends largely on the security of your device. We implement best practices to ensure the app operates securely within the mobile operating system's sandbox.

6. Children's Privacy

ProofCam is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
